O’Neil & O’Neil join General Pacific
“It is time,”, we said, “we need to join more forces”. It was getting harder to fight isolation as the real estate market continued to drag on, and let’s face it, our phones were not exactly ringing off the hook. Many people were sitting on the fence, not really knowing what way to go: When to buy, when to sell, is the bottom here yet, and what lies ahead? We did not want our perspective to become too narrow as we responded to these questions.
For two years we had been working, side by side in our home office with all the wonders of this technical age, wireless and paperless (not quite paperless yet, but headed in the right direction). Thanks to the Internet, we have almost seen our fax machine idled into retirement, and saved more gallons of gasoline by reducing the need to hand deliver hard copies of documents from one side of the city and county to the other. Pleasant as it was in many ways, we really began to long for a little more camaraderie. We wanted to share more frequently in the creative ideas to overcome some of the obstacles facing not only our markets, but those of our clients.
But the choices at first seemed difficult. A large corporate office did not suit us. Nor, did we want to spend time and energy driving across town. We wanted the synergy of co-workers and a vision of a better way to work. We had been watching a smaller company growing in market share, and yet with a relatively small footprint, we continued to see evidence of a firm that was creating a giant marketing profile. We kept seeing this wonderful old building downtown Ventura that was to be the future office of General Pacific Properties.
And then, it was just the right time for us to make the move to General Pacific Properties. We are now a part of the process that waits anxiously for the opening of our beautiful downtown office. Our contact information is all the same, the logo has changed, and we are very happy to be associated with General Pacific, its dynamic broker, Larry Krogh, the wonderful support staff, and some of the greatest real estate sales associates we have worked with. We are looking forward to the opening of the office in beautiful, downtown Ventura in the near future and are located at the present office location in Midtown Ventura at 1629 Main Street.
